SDSU Football: Wide Receiver Position Breakdown
The fourth article on position breakdowns are on San Diego Statewide receivers. This article has been broken down into sections. At the top we have the information about the players including depth charts and at the end of the article we have the bio on each of the wide receivers.

Under The Radar:
- Christian Cumberlander (Freshman): Cumberlander was widely regarded as one of the top prep wide receivers in the nation. Cumberlander is a big, athletic target with the speed to pull away from defenders. He is extremely acrobatic and is not afraid to go airborne for the ball. He is a strong kid, has great hands and runs great routes. It may take a few weeks for Cumberlander to break into the rotation.

WR-Z:
WR Ezell Ruffin (Junior): 17 receptions for 319 yards and zero touchdowns. Ruffin has the most athleticism of any Aztec wide receiver. He has great speed and unbelievable hands. Ruffin is the team’s top returning wide receiver in terms of yards with 319.
WR Dylan Denso (Senior): four receptions for 63 yards and zero touchdowns.Reliable pass catcher and route runner Denso has good hands and runs good routes. Denso had limited minutes last season because of Brice Butler and Dominique Sandifer. He will be the number two receiver behind Colin Lockett. Denso need’s close to 300 yards receiving this season to cross the 1,000 yards marker.
WR Lloyd Mills (Red Shirt Freshman): Mills is one of the fastest receivers on the squad and has great hands. Mills will be one of many weapons the Aztecs will have this season that can score from anywhere on the field.
WR-X:
WR Colin Lockett (Senior): 20 receptions for 293 yards and three touchdowns. Lockett has been named to the All-Mountain West second team special teams by Athlon Sports and Phil Steele. Lockett had 30 returns for 777 (21st in the nation) yards and two touchdowns. Lockett has also been named to the All-Mountain West fourth team offense by Phil Steele.
WR Tim Vizzi (Senior): nine receptions for 97 yards and one touchdown. Vizzi has been named to the All-Mountain West fourth team special teams by Athlon by Phil Steele as a punt returner.
WR Eric Judge (Red Shirt Freshman): Judge has the same attributes as Gavin Escobar. He is runs good routes and has very good hands. The only issue with Judge is his speed. Judge will be working the middle of the field and in red zone situations.
