SDSU Swim: 2012 Olympic Trials

Are you a fan of the United States Olympic Swim Team? There are five San Diego State Aztec Swim Team Members competing in the 2012 US Olympic Trials. If you have yet to watch the trials on TV, you have three more chances,June 29th, June 30th and July 1st!

Events that SDSU swim team members are competing in.

100 meter breaststroke – June 26th – Katelyn Weddle
100 meter backstroke – June 26th – Leona Jennings
200 meter individual medley June – 27th – Mikaela Macklin and Natalie Ruiz.
200 meter freestyle June – 27th – Meghan Zimmer
200 meter breaststroke – June 29th – Katelyn Weddle
200 meter backstroke – June 30th – Natalie Ruiz and Leona Jennings.
50 meter freestyle – July 1st – Leona Jennings

100 Meter Breaststroke: (Link)
Senior Katelyn Weddle finished the Olympic trials ranked 50th. Time at 50 meters  [33.29]. Total time [1:11.17].

200 Meter Individual Medley: (Link)

Junior Mikaela Macklin finished the Olympic trials ranked 35th. Time at 50 meters  [29.76]. seconds. Time at 100 meters [1:05.09]. Time at 150 meters  [1.45.04]. Total time [2:18.07].

In coming freshman Natilee Ruiz finished the Olympic trials ranked trials ranked 45th. Time at 50 meters [29.93]. Time at 100 meters [1:04.23]. Total time [2:18.57]

Senior Meghan Zimmer finished the Olympic trials ranked 92nd. Time at 50 meters  [29.25]. seconds. Time at 100 meters [1:00.24]. Time at 150 meters  [1.32.52]. Total time [2:06.36].
