Padres: Chase Headley The Last Substancial Name On Padres Trading Block?

Following the Carlos Quentin contract extension, Chase Headley is the biggest name on the possible trading block. Right now the deal would have to give the Padres 2 or 3 major prospects and or draft picks to get Headley. Headley might not be moved by the Padres as they are asking a lot. But if the price is right there could be a trade.

The Padres are in position to ask a lot for Headley. Third base is a down position around the major leagues and most contenders would like to improve at the spot. Headley is hitting .268 with 10 homers and 46 RBI. He is hitting .279 with eight homers and 26 RBI in 46 games away from Petco Park. San Diego Union Tribune.
