San Diego’s Best Sports Teams

When you think about San Diego Sports teams the first thing most people think of are the San Diego Chargers and the San Diego Padres. The San Diego college sports do not come to mind only for those fans involved with the universities. The tide is beginning to change in San Diego as the San Diego State Aztecs are the only team who is playing constantly in San Diego. The San Diego Chargers have a nationally televised game this coming Wednesday against AFC western league rival Kansas City Chiefs and the game in San Diego will most likely be blacked out.

Chargers fans throughout the country are calling for Chargers coach Norv Turner to be fired and are calling for A.J. Smith to be fired. The Chargers in the past four weeks have blown their first place lead in the AFC western division. Including two losses to New Orleans and Denver in which the Charger led both teams at the half. The Chargers then come off a bye week and lose to a 1-6 Cleveland team. The fans are so mad at the Chargers organization I would not be amazed if the game this coming thursday is blacked out.

As stated above by Ben Higgins the San Diego State Aztecs are the #1 team in town it now appears. San Diego sports fans can count on the Aztecs to win games. Since the beginning of the 2010 football and basketball season, SDSU ranks 2nd in the nation in combined FB & MBB record at 83-23. San Diego State football is now bowl eligible for the third straight season and the first time in program history. San Diego State MBB is ranked 20th in the preseason polls. The place to be seen in San Diego is no longer Qualcomm or Petco but San Diego State on Montezuma Mesa.
