San Diego Chargers Fall To The Baltimore Ravens In OT 16-13

The San Diego Chargers might just might have played the worst game in the team history. This recap is going to be a bit shorter than most as all of San Diego was under a mandatory black out due to NFL ticket policy. The Chargers had multiple chances to win tonight’s game against the Baltimore Ravens. The game was lost when the San Diego Chargers gave up a 4th down and 29 to Ravens running back Ray Rice. The 4th-and-29 conversion by Ray Rice was integral to Ravens OT win. Ravens win probability before the play was 23%; after the play was: 47%.

This was another game in which the San Diego Chargers offensive line could not provide protection for Phillip Rivers. The Chargers offensive line gave up six sacks to the Baltimore Ravens defensive. Rivers would finish the night 23-36, 228 yards, 1 touchdown and did not throw any interceptions. The Chargers offensive could not get the ball rolling which lead to 9 Mike Scifres punts for an average of 53.2 yards per punt.

The San Diego Chargers locker room is in disbelief of the outcome of the game. The Chargers defense played good the whole game besides allowing the Ravens to convert on that 4th down and 29. The stand out on the Charger defense was defensive back Shareece Wright defended multiple chances to give the Chargers a chance to win in overtime.
