How Will The 2014 NFL Draft Play Out?
The 2013 NFL Draft just ended, but speculation for next season is already heating up. A lot will change in the next 12 months, but here are five of the best talents right now who could hear their name called extremely early.
Jadeveon Clowney (DE) South Carolina: At this point in time, the defensive end from South Carolina appears to be a lock to go near the top of the draft next season. Things can certainly happen, but he is a true specimen out on the field. The best thing is, he could probably play defensive tackle, defensive end or linebacker at the next level.
Marqise Lee (WR) USC: USC had a terrible season in 2012, but Marqise Lee did little to hurt his stock. He will need to adjust to a new quarterback in what should be his final college season, but even without solid numbers he is a future #1 wide receiver and one to watch in college fantasy football next season.
Teddy Bridgewater (QB) Louisville: His true coming out party was against Florida this past season, and now Teddy Bridgewater has Louisville on the map. They could contend for a National Championship, which would obviously help his draft prospects. With a strong-arm, quick release and speed to burn if needed, he could make an immediate impact as the best quarterback prospect in 2014.
Taylor Lewan (OT) Michigan: It says something when an offensive tackle can limit a guy like Jadeveon Clowney when matching up. The Michigan Wolverine really caught the attention of scouts when he held Clowney in check during their bowl game, and a strong season in 2013 could make him a top five pick.
CJ Mosley (LB) Alabama: Alabama will once again be stacked in 2013, and Mosley will be their top pro prospect. The outside linebacker can excel mostly on the edge, where he can use all of his skills to accelerate towards the quarterback. People love comparing him to Clay Matthews, and if he can progress, that could be a fair comparison.
