San Diego State Overall (0-3) Conf (0-0)
The Aztec defensive had a horrible start to the season against ELU and Ohio State. The young Aztec defensive backs had major problems covering receivers in the game forcing the Aztecs to drop more athletes into pass protection. The young secondary did see improvement against the best passing team in college football Oregon State. The Aztec secondary should have no problem covering these New Mexico State receivers. It will be interesting to see if the Aztecs decide to stick with Quinn Kaehler at quarterback or if they go back to Adam Dingwell.

New Mexico State (0-4)
San Diego State is going to be playing an inferior New Mexico State team. New Mexico State runs the pistol offensive and is dangerously thin at running back this season. The best returning player on the New Mexico State team is Junior wide receiver Austin Franklin who was named first team all WAC. The New Mexico State defense has some players but they have not yet learned to play as a unit. That is the reason they got destroyed by Texas, Minnesota, UTEP and UCLA.
