Legendary Horse Trainer Bob Baffert and Jockey Mike Smith, as well as Del Mar Thoroughbred Club President and CEO, Joe Harper, Join #SDLive Tonight After the Padres Game

SAN DIEGO – FOX Sports San Diego (FSSD) will debut a new episode of #SDLive previewing Del Mar’s $1 Million Pacific Classic presented by TVG tonight, following the Padres at Dodgers game. The special horse racing-themed show will feature interviews with one of the most successful trainers in the history of horse racing, including trainer for last year’s Pacific Classic winner Game on Dude, Bob Baffert, alongside jockey of current top 3-year-old Shared Belief, Mike Smith, and President and CEO of Del Mar Thoroughbred Club, Joe Harper.

#SDLive host, Mike Pomeranz heads out to the Del Mar Racetrack to preview the anticipated race taking place on Sunday, August 24th. The only million-dollar event on the California racing calendar, the 1 and 1/4-miles Pacific Classic presented by TVG, is the signature contest of the 37-day Del Mar Thoroughbred Club meet and part of the Breeders’ Cup Challenge series.

Pomeranz sits down to talk with Baffert and Smith about their horses, Game on Dude and Shared Belief, as well as their expectations for Sunday’s race. Plus, Pomeranz discusses with Harper the current state of the track and how Del Mar is preparing for the upcoming race.

In a special #SDLive segment, co-host Brook Roberts interviews jockey Tyler Baze about his Gold Cup victory at Santa Anita and the anticipation for the Pacific Classic presented by TVG. In addition, Roberts works out with world-renowned jockey and 2014 Kentucky Derby winner, Victor Espinoza.

This episode of #SDLive will debut tonight at 10:30 PM PST or immediately following live coverage of Padres at Dodgers game beginning at 6:30 PM PST.​​
