SDSU Soccer: Aztec Women Ready To Dominate Under The Lights!

San Diego State Women played their first exhibition game this past weekend resulting in a tie with Long Beach (1 -1). This coming friday San Diego State Soccer fans will be able to watch the first ever soccer game held under the new lights on Montezuma Mesa.

San Diego State will kick off the home season with a game against Southern Methodist University this friday. The game was originally scheduled for 7 p.m. PT and is now up in the air due to the light installation.  As you guys can see from the twitter post below, we are in contact with SDSU Women’s Soccer and will keep everyone up to date with the issues surrounding the light installation..The next home games are scheduled for August 19th against Arizona State and August 22nd against St. Francis.

San Diego State Women’s Soccer is going to be returning an extremely good squad this coming season. They are coming off a 10-7-3 season and 4-1-1 in the Mountain West Conference. They made it all the way to the Mountain West Conference finals and lost to Wyoming (1-0). The Aztecs will have six of the seven women named to the 2012 All-Mountain West Conference team returning this season. Out of the six women named to the All-Mountain West Conference Teams, four of them names to the first team.
