SD Padres: Padres Rookies Leading The Squad To Victory

The San Diego Padres are on a five game winning streak thanks to their rookies. The rookies are impressing not only the fans but also management.

Yasmani Grandal was called up from triple-a to replace Nick Hundley who has been struggling of late.  Since being recalled from triple-a Yasmani Grandal has caught fire hitting .315 (6-20) in his last six games, including 4 homeruns and 6 RBI’s.

Other Padres rookies have also picked up steam including second basemen Alexi Amarista and first basemen Yonder Alonso. Amarista is batting .419 (13/31) in his last ten games including four homeruns and 13 RBI’s. first basemen Yonder Alonso is hitting .333 (11/33) including one homerun and 5 RBI’s.
