I’m bringing about 40 guys from my squad plus 20 from the girls team. We’re going to attempt to re-create the Aztec Nation supporters group I had started about five years ago. For the game, we’re going to wear red and sit behind the goals.

We are looking to get Aztec fans back into the soccer arena. San Diego State has thriving sports programs. The most well-known sports are football and basketball. Men’s soccer for those who are not aware are members of the PAC 12. One of the NCAA exceptions, allows teams who destroy the competition in their own conference to move up conferences to allow fair play. San Diego State Soccer is extremely fun to watch. Lets get more loyal Aztec sports fans out to support San Diego State Men’s and Women’s Soccer! The following paragraph from GoAztecs.com describes the kickoff of the men’s soccer season.

San Diego State will begin its quest for a national championship on Aug. 18, when it plays host to New Mexico in a friendly starting at 1 p.m. PT. The Aztecs’ regular season gets underway in Indianapolis, Ind., when they participate in The adidas/IU Credit Union Classic where they will face Notre Dame (Aug. 31) and Indiana (Sept. 2).

SDSU’s home opener is slated for Sept. 7, when it will Light the Night for the first time at Montezuma Road as Houston Baptist is set to visit for a 7 p.m. PT tilt. The Aztecs’ game vs. HBU and its date vs. Ohio State on Sept. 9, will be a part of the Courtyard Marriott San Diego Central Soccer Tournament. During the home-opening weekend, the program will also honor the 1987 team that advanced to the NCAA title game. GOAZTECS.COM
