From San Diego To London: SD Athletes Bring Home 3 More Medals (Spoiler Alert)
From San Diego to London, This is your official San Diego Athletes Olympic Update, Medal Counts & More. This first section contains a few statements about the athletes, in order to disguise the results from social media share buttons. San Diego has many people throughout the world know is a beautiful city also known as Americas Finest City.
We have several athletes competing in London for the 2012 Summer Olympics. Below the photo of San Diego’s Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, readers will be able to read about San Diego Athletes. The updates include the San Diego Medal Count. San Diego Athletes who have competed already and their results. Also, available, names of San Diego Athletes who have yet to participate and their schedules.

Archery
USA Archery Men’s team members are Brady Ellison, Jake Kaminski, and Jacob Wukie. USA Archery Women’s team members are Khatuna Loring and Miranda Leek.
Brady Ellison, Jake Kaminski, and Jacob Wukie from the Olympic Training in Chula Vista finished 2nd in the Men’s Team Archery Shoot. The second place finish was good enough for the silver medal.
Khatuna Loring from the Olympic Training in Chula Vista finished 4th in the Women’s Individual Archery Shoot. Loring lost in the Bronze medal match to Mexican Mariana Avitia (2-6).
Khatuna Loring and Miranda Leek from the Olympic Training in Chula Vista did not qualify for the Women’s Team Archery Shoot semi finals.
BMX
USA BMX Men’s team members are Connor Fields, David Herman and Nic Long. USA BMX Women’s team member Kelly Rulon.

Cycling
USA Cycling Men’s team member Chris Horner. USA Women’s team member Sara Hammer.
Sara Hammer from Temecula finished 2nd in the Omnium and 2nd in Women’s team pursuit. Hammer’s two second place finishes are good for two silver medals.
Chris Horner from San Diego finished 93rd in the Men’s Road Race with a time of 5:46:46.
Equestrian
Steffen Peters from San Diego came in 17th place in the Men’s Individual Dressage finals.
Fencing
USA Fencing Men’s team member Seth Kelsey.
Seth Kelsey from the Olympic Training in Chula Vista finished 4th in the Men’s Fencing Individual Epee.
Track & Field
USA Track & Field Men’s team members are Brad Walker, Sean Furey, Meb Keflezighi, Jamie Nieto, John Nunn, Jarred Rome and Will Claye. USA Track & Field Women’s team members are Amy Hastings, Alice Schmidt, Becky Holliday, Desiree Davila, Kara Patterson and Keshia Baker.
Amy Hastings from the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista finished 11th in the 10,000 meters with a time of 31:10.69.
Becky Holliday from the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista finished 9th in the Women’s Pole Vault.
Brad Walker from the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista will compete in the Men’s Pole Vault finals on August 10th.
Desiree Davila from Chula Vista Did Not Finish (DNF) the Women’s marathon.
Kara Patterson from the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista did not qualify in the Women’s Javelin Throw.
Keshia Baker from the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista will compete in the Women’s 4×400 meter relay final on August 11th.
Meb Keflezighi from San Diego will compete in the Men’s Marathon on August 12th.
Sean Furey from the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista will compete in the Men’s Javelin Throw finals on August 11th.
Jamie Nieto from the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista finished 6th in the Men’s High Jump.
John Nunn from the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista will be competing in the Men’s 50km walk on August 11th.
Jarred Rome from the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista did not qualify in the Men’s Discus Throw.
Will Claye from the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista finished in 3rd place in the Men’s Long Jump. The third place finish was good enough for the bronze medal. Claye finished in 2nd place in the Men’s Triple Jump Finals good enough for the silver medal. (Great Olympics for Will Claye ending with a bronze and silver medal.
Sailing
Molly Vandemoer from San Diego competes in the Elliot Women’s 6 meters lost to Finland.
Soccer (WOMEN WON GOLD!!)
Rachel Buehler from Del Mar competed on the USA Women’s Soccer team in the Gold Medal Match against Japan and got revenge (2-1) to win GOLD!.
Rowing
USA Rowing Men’s team members are Brett Newlin, Charlie Cole, Henrik Rummel, Scott Gault, James Ross, Grant James, Giuseppe Lanzone and Glenn Ochal. USA Rowing Women team member Carrie Johnson.
Charlie Cole, Glenn Ochal, Henrik Rummel, Scott Gault, from the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista finished 3rd (Bronze Medal) in the Men’s Rowing 4 Man Boat.
Brett Newlin, Giuseppe Lanzone, James Ross, Grant James, from the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista finished in 4th place in the Men’s Rowing 8 Man Boat.
Volleyball
USA Volleyball Men’s team members are David Lee, Rich Lambourne, and Reid Priddy.
David Lee from Alpine lost to Italy in the Men’s Indoor Volleyball semi finals.
Rich Lambourne from San Diego lost to Italy in the Men’s Indoor Volleyball semi finals.
Reid Priddy from San Diego lost to Italy in the Men’s Indoor Volleyball semi finals.
Water Polo (WOMEN WON GOLD!!)
USA Water Polo Men’s team members are Jesse Smith and Layne Beaubien. USA Water Polo Women’s team member Kelly Rulon.
Jesse Smith and Layne Beaubien from Cornorado were nocked out of the Water Polo Medal races by Croatia (8-2).
Kelly Rulon from San Diego played for team USA against Spain in the gold medal match today and defeated Spain (8-5) to win Gold!.
