San Diego State opens up the 2012/13 College football season in Seattle against the Washington Huskies. A game that both teams are looking forward to playing. San Diego State is banking on the fact that Washington plays LSU the following week at LSU. Washington is going to need to come out firing on all cylinders if they plan on beating our San Diego State Aztecs!

San Diego State had been picked to finish 5th their last season in the Mountain West Conference before the move to the Big East. Below we have listed each team the Aztecs play this season with their stats. We hope this will give everyone some incite on San Diego States Competition for the upcoming football season.

San Diego State is favored to come in 5th place this season in the Mountain West Conference behind Boise State, Nevada, Fresno State and Wyoming. I would pick San Diego State to come in third in my personal opinion. I believe that San Diego State can go 8 and 4 this season. The four losses coming to Boise State, Nevada, Wyoming and Washington.

Should the Aztecs finish in 5th place in the Mountain West Conference this would place San Diego State into the Hawaii Bowl if they are bowl game eligible. This would be what some San Diego State fans are hoping will be the bowl game outcome. The San Diego State men’s basketball team will be playing in Hawaii in the Aloha Classic the same weekend as the bowl game in Hawaii.

2012/13 San Diego State Aztec Football Schedule

The teams that have orange font coloring are the teams I believe the Aztecs will lose to. Being a San Diego State student I hope and wish we will go undefeated but know that possibilities are unlikely. The one game I have optimism for San Diego State to come away victorious would be Washington. If they can win at Washington I believe they will finish the season 10 and 2 or 11 and 1.
