SDSU Football: Aztecs Post Game Recap 24-13 Over UNLV!

San Diego State is now bowl eligible for the third straight season. This is the first time in the history of the San Diego State Football program that the Aztecs have been bowl eligible for three straight seasons. The Aztecs defeat UNLV 24 to 13.

Now let’s get down to some statistics. The Aztecs were led by quarterback Adam Dingwell and tight end Gavin Escobar. The offensive line led the Aztec running back core to 54 carries for 275 yards and 1 touchdown. An average of 5.1 yards per carry. Below is the rushing stats from tonight’s game.

Adam Dingwell had a great game in the air hooking up with five different receivers Gavin Escobar, Brice Butler, Colin Lockett, Adam Muema and Dominique Sandifur. Gavin Escobar 4 catches for 108 yards and one TD. We have provided you with last night’s passing statistics.

The San Diego State run defense was horrible during the Rebels first possession . After that position the Aztec run defense played the way the should. The Aztec defensive unit sacked the red shirt freshman four times. They were led by Jake Fely who had two sacks and a forced fumble.

UNLV Running Rebels

The UNLV defense forced two fumbles tonight on the San Diego State running backs who never fumble. Both of those fumbles forced on Adam Muema. The Rebels also intercepted Adam Dingwell tonight. The only part of the game UNLV won was the turnover battle.
