Chargers: Chargers Lose To 1-6 Cleveland 7 to 6.
The San Diego Chargers coming off a bye week head into Cleveland and lose to the Cleveland Browns. I am betting you did not think that would be the head line of the news. The San Diego Chargers could not shutdown the Brown’s rookie running back Trent Richardson, who was still playing with a rib injury, rushed for 122 yards in nasty weather and scored the game’s only touchdown on a 26-yard run.
The biggest opportunity for the Chargers to score was a 51 yard pass from Phillip Rivers to Robert Meachem in which Meachem dropped.
Robert Meachem drops wide-open 51-yard TD pass. That’s what happens when #Chargers lose their Stickum supply. #NFL #Browns

The Chargers would have to settle for two Nick Novak field goals. The Chargers offensive line held up for most of the game only allowing one sack of Rivers. The offensive line led the Chargers running backs to 117 yards on 34 carries and average of 3.4 yards per carry. Ryan Mathews who is known for coughing up the ball did so again tonight. The fans in San Diego are sick and tired of having teams who they know can win yet they lose. We call the Chargers the best worst team in the NFL. The Chargers blow leads two straight weeks and lose to a team who was 1-6 heading into todays game. We decided to do some research on the Chargers and go back into history and look up how many games the Chargers have won and lost when returning from a bye week. Since the 1993 season the San Diego Chargers have a record of 9 – 10 when coming off a bye week. Yes we are one game short according to the schedule the Chargers did not have a bye week in the 2001 season.
SD offense used to be so enjoyable to watch a few yrs ago. Now it’s very hard on the eyes.

Gotta hand it to #Chargers coach Norv Turner. Not just any coach can have 13 days to prepare for #Browns & not score a TD in three quarters.
