The San Diego State Aztecs could not get the shots to fall today. San Diego State shot 5-17 from the free throw line. The Aztecs shot 7-29 from the field. San Diego State shot 1-10 from beyond the arc and San Diego State shot 10-34 from the field. The Aztecs had less difficulty with turnovers in the second half of the game only giving up 4 turnovers.

The Aztecs were led in the second half by Jamaal Franklin who had 9 points and 5 rebounds. Coming close in second place for the Aztecs was San Diego State University senior James Rahon. San Diego State finished the game 14-33 from the free throw line (42.4%). San Diego State finished the game 1-18 from beyond the arc (5.6%) and San Diego State finished the game shooing 17-63 from the field (27%). The Aztecs committed way to many turnovers this afternoon ending the game with 16 turnovers. The Aztecs in our opinion won the battle of the board with a total of 44 rebounds. San Diego State had massive problems with the height of the Syracuse players blocking the Aztecs shots. Syracuse would go on to block 10 San Diego State shots. The Syracuse Orangemen did have problems of their own committing 18 turnovers in total.

If you do not follow San Diego State basketball you are thinking why was this team ranked 20th in the nation? Many sports writers from all over the nation are all asking that question right now. I think America needs to wait for SDSU vs. UCLA and then we can all ask and answer that question. There are tons of NCAA basketball writers who claim they have ranked SDSU to high. Everyone can make their own call on if you believe San Diego State was ranked correctly.
