San Diego State is off to one of the best athletic season’s in the schools history! San Diego State now holds six Mountain West Championship banners! The Aztecs still have a shot at adding two more Mountain West Conference Championship banners in Women’s and Men’s basketball!

Women’s Basketball: 

Women’s Soccer:
Mike Friesen was named the Mountain West Women’s Soccer Coach or the Year, NSCAA Pacific Region Coach of the Year and CaptainU National Coach of the Year.

Women’s Swimming:
Mike Shrader earned his fourth Mountain West Women’s Swimming Coach of the Year award!
Congrats to SDSU’s Mikaela Macklin the 2013 MW Women’s Swimmer of the Year!!

Women’s Volleyball:
Johnna Fouch and Andrea Hannasch were named to the 2012 AVCA All-West Region Volleyball Team.

Football:
Rocky Long has been named the Mountain West Coach of the Year!
Gavin Escobar was an honorable mention selection to the Pro Football Weekly 2012 All-America team.

Women’s Track & Field:
Shelia Burrell was named the MW Women’s Indoor Track and Field Coach of the Year!!
SDSU finished with five individual titles at the MW Championships!!
