This article is a small breakdown of games that have been announced for San Diego State up to now. We also breakdown the two new teams joining the Mountain West Conference. The 2013/14 San Diego State basketball season will be very interesting as SDSU looks to rebuild. The Aztecs will be losing three of their top three scorers from the 2012/13 season Jamaal Franklin (17.0), Chase Tapley (13.5) and James Rahon (7.0). The two athletes remaining from the top five best scorers are Xavier Thames (9.5) and J.J. O’Brien (7.2). The Aztecs will be bringing in Dakari Allen and D’Erryl Williams both teammates from Sheldon high school this summer.

The following teams that are listed will all be competing in the 2013 Anaheim Classic along side San Diego State.

Last season (2013) the Mountain West Conference welcomed Fresno State and Nevada into the league. In the upcoming season the Mountain West Conference will have 18 conference games with the additions of Utah State and San Jose State. The San Jose State Spartans ended the 2013 season with an overall record of 9-20 and a WAC (Western Athletic Conference) record of 3-14. The San Jose State Spartans will find out in 2014 how tough the MWC really is. Utah State is coming into the conference with an overall record of 21-10 and a WAC record of 11-7.
