The San Diego State Aztecs will meet the University California Riverside Highlanders Friday night before a sold out crowd (12,414) at Viejas Arena on the Campus of San Diego State University. We are going to assume the starting five for the Aztecs will be JJ O’Brien, Josh Davis, Skylar Spencer, Winston Shepard and Xavier Thames.

The Highlanders have some height on the roster in junior Steven Thornton (6′4), senior Chris Harriel (6’4), junior Colin Gruber (6’5), junior Charles Standifer (6’5), sophomore Tre Owens (6’6), sophomore Taylor Johns (6’7), senior Lucas Devenny (6’8) and senior Chris Patton (6’10). The shortest player on the UCR team is junior Nick Gruninger at 5 foot 10.
Friday night San Diego State will defend their 34-game winning streak against teams from the great State of California. I believe the score of the game will be in the mid to high 60’s. San Diego State this season will live in the low to mid 70’s. If the Aztecs score more than 70 points they will be unbeatable.

(We will have a more in-depth statistical game preview in a few weeks!)
