New #SDLive Debuts Tonight Featuring Interviews With San Diego Padres Catcher René Rivera, Relief Pitcher Joaquín Benoit, and Professional Surfer Kelly Slater

SAN DIEGO – FOX Sports San Diego (FSSD) will debut a new episode of #SDLive tonight following the Padres vs. Rockies game, featuring in-studio guests, San Diego Padres catcher René Rivera and relief pitcher Joaquín Benoit.

#SDLive host Mike Pomeranz chats with Rivera and Benoit about this year’s Padres pitching staff accomplishments and playing important games to close out the season. Rivera talks about Ian Kennedy’s 200+ strikeout season and gives his thoughts on whether a pitcher should be awarded the MVP. Benoit comments on the replay system and shares his playoff predictions. In addition, both Rivera and Benoit make their World Series picks and talk about their offseason plans.

In a special #SDLive segment, Brook Roberts visits with professional surfers Kelly Slater, John John Florence and Jordy Smith at the Hurley Pro at Lower Trestles surf competition.

This episode of #SDLive will debut tonight at 10:30 PM PST or immediately following live coverage of the Padres vs. Rockies game beginning at 6:30 PM PST.
