SAN DIEGO — San Diego State basketball head coach Steve Fisher and FOX Sports San Diego have announced the debut of a coaches show for the 2014-15 season. Aztec Basketball with Steve Fisher will air Thursdays on FOX Sports San Diego, beginning with a special conference preview show on Dec. 25.

The weekly show will give unprecedented access to SDSU’s basketball program and to Fisher, the 2014 Mountain West Coach of the Year and two-time National Coach of the Year. Aztec Basketball with Steve Fisher will consist of player and coach features, behind-the-scenes footage, a preview of the upcoming game, a recap of the last game and much more from the show’s co-hosts, FOX Sports San Diego’s own Kris Budden and former San Diego State star athlete, Kevin O’Connell.

“We’re proud to bring this exciting weekly coaches show to the Aztec faithful,” said Henry Ford, Senior Vice President and General Manager, FOX Sports San Diego. “Connecting viewers to Aztec Basketball through the perspective of coach Fisher, should offer very compelling television.”

Aztec Basketball with Steve Fisher will premiere on Thursday, Dec. 25 at 10:00 PM PST. The debut episode will preview SDSU basketball conference play which begins Dec. 31 against Air Force.

Other program records for O’Connell include rushing yards by a quarterback in a season (408 in 2007), rushing touchdowns by a quarterback in a season (11 in 2007) and career (19).
