AJ Preller Adds Craig Kimbrel and Melvin Upton, Jr.


The San Diego Padres rock star GM AJ Preller made another deal to bring San Diego closer to our first world series birth since 1998. The San Diego Padres have traded Matt Wisler, Carlos Quentin, Cameron Maybin, Jordan Paroubeck and 41st pick headed to Atlanta for Craig Kimbrel and Melvin Upton, Jr. The Padres have united the Upton brothers and acquired one of the best closers in baseball.
