New Menu Items at Qualcomm Stadium

The San Diego Chargers and Delaware North Sportservice have unveiled the new menu items for the 2015/16 Chargers Season. San Diego Sports Domination would like to thank the San Diego Chargers and Delaware North Sportservice for inviting us to cover the event. In this post you will be able to see photos of all the new menu Items including what ingredients are used. Underneath the photo you will be able to read a review on menu by friend of San Diego Sports Domination Jeffery Goodall Jr. and San Diego Sports Domination CEO David Frerker.. The food on this list will be almost the same for San Diego State Football.

This is a small disclosure for our review. The food did not come straight out of the kitchen like it would during an actual game. The food was set up for the media taste session and was sitting under heat lamps. The heat lamps do have a tendency to dry the food out. We also did not try the normal menu size of the food. We were given smaller portions.  Below is a photo of my (David) tasting plate.

New concessions items include

Review: Slider style burger with chili relleno on top of melted cheddar cheese, all beef slider patty and sweet roll. – only missing sauce/avocado.

Chicken Buffalo Sandwich

– chicken tenders with buffalo reaper sauce, bleu cheese and coleslaw

Review: This was a very spicy chicken sandwich. We did think it was missing a bleu cheese sauce over the top of the chicken would have been a nice addition.

Cali Surf Burrito

– shrimp, beef, potato fries, cabbage, pico de gallo, guacamole, salsa, sour cream and cheese

Review: Twist on surf and turf meets CA. Smaller version hard to tell composition however, larger version appears to full of everything a San Diego foodie would enjoy and desire.

Philly by the Foot

– Philly sandwich up to 3 feet long

Review: This was a hit with every single media member in the room. This ranks as one of the best Philly’s I have had outside of Philadelphia.

Loaded Skins

– smash potatoes with cheese, bacon bits sour cream and chili

Review: Think mashed potatoes meets twice baked potato smoothered in chili, cheese and drizzled with sour cream. Although it should be your traditional taste, it offers a substantially different experience in your mouth.

Breakfast Mary in a Cup

– spicy bloody Michelada mix, bacon on a stick, celery, pickled egg and olives

Review: Spicy, however, not overbearing with a plethora of garnish including lemon, lime, pickle, olive, beef jerky stick and celery. A bit watered down however feel that was due to longer holding time than originally expected.

Veggie Nacho

– roasted corn, peppers, pico de gallo, cotija cheese

Review: Fresh grilled corn, tomatoes, chips with drizzled creme fresh. Personally not a huge fan, only because it was light and when I think nachos I think: cheese, meat, chips with all the toppings. Could have used some diced jalapeños to add a kick or perhaps cucumber with Siracha / hot sauce.

New suite items include:

Deli Baguette

– roasted turkey, apple wood smoked bacon, genoa salami, soppressata, provolone cheese, spicy giardiniera, parmesan 3ft baguette

Kettle Chips

– with bacon ranch and green onion dip

Review: Chips were perfect consistency and flavor. Extremely easy to enjoy and definitely not overly salty. Dip was bacon ranch and extremely creamy. One of the best things I have ever tasted.

Tamales

– jalapeno and cheese wrapped in masa dough

Review: Great spice, composition of tamale is authentic and fresh. Spices are on point. Not too hot, but just enough to give you a nice kick in each bite.
