With the talk of the San Diego Chargers heading north to Los Angles and the talk of MLS coming to San Diego. Now is a great time to start supporting local soccer here in San Diego. We will have two National Premier Soccer League teams playing in San Diego for the 2016 season. The two teams are Albion SC and North County Battalion.  As a media sponsor of Albion SC here in San Diego and as a member of the NPSL Media List we thought running a poll to excite the two fan bases would be fun.

ABOUT NORTH COUNTY BATTALION

North County Battalion is a semi-professional Football Club planted in the North County San Diego to give local residents a professional expression of high level soccer. North County is a soccer community. It’s great to support and cheer for larger clubs around the world but I wanted something that I could support here and now. I’m proud to live in North County. I don’t think there is a better place to live and I want the rest of my friends, neighbors and community to have something that we can all rally around, support, sing about and raise a pint to. If you are proud to live in North County like I am I hope that you would join us in supporting North County Battalion by sharing that passion for a local soccer club with your friends, neighbors and community. In first deciding on what we were going to call the club the name Battalion rose to the top as we wanted to have an identity that residents could easily relate to and identify with. The reference is two fold: we have so many amazing members of our community that faithfully serve our county in the military that we wanted to highlight that dynamic. We also wanted to also call attention to the scores of firefighters who protect us from this place burning to the ground every few years. We wanted to attach our geographical region to our name instead of choosing one city name over the other not wanting to alienate any part of our community. This goes hand in hand with our clubs motto: We Are One. My hope is that no matter where you live in North County you can stand and cheer united. ABOUT ALBION SC

Albion Soccer Youth Club is a competitive soccer club, based in San Diego, Calif. Formed in 1981 and now recognized as a one of the top youth competitive clubs in the nation, Albion Soccer club has more than 110 youth teams and branded clubs in South Florida and Orange County. Albion SC has won 15 Regional Championships, appeared in 7 National Championships, developed over 15 US National Team players and produced nearly 8 million dollars in scholarship offers over the last decade. The NPSL is a national league that operates in the 4th Division of the U.S. Soccer pyramid. NPSL teams are eligible to participate in the U.S. Open Cup through their affiliation with the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) and the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA).  The NPSL remains one of the largest national leagues in North America.
