FOX SPORTS SAN DIEGO ANNOUNCES 2016 PADRES SPRING TRAINING BROADCAST SCHEDULE

10 Padres Spring Training Games to be Televised on FOX Sports San Diego Beginning Friday, March 4

SAN DIEGO – FOX Sports San Diego (FSSD) today announced their 2016 San Diego Padres Spring Training television schedule. The network will produce and televise nine live games from Peoria Sports Complex in Peoria, Arizona and one from Southwest University Park, in El Paso, Texas – home of the El Paso Chihuahuas.

FSSD’s 2016 Spring Training coverage will begin Friday, March 4th as the Padres take on the Royals at 6:00 PM PST and will conclude with coverage of the San Diego Padres vs. El Paso Chihuahuas Spring Training exhibition game on March 31st.

Hall of Fame broadcaster and 2015 Ford C. Frick Award recipient Dick Enberg and former Padres starting pitcher Mark Grant will return to the broadcast booth for approximately half of FOX Sports San Diego’s Spring Training telecasts. Julie Alexandria, FSSD’s Padres sideline reporter, will make her debut on the network in Peoria for all ten Spring Training telecasts.

Additionally, former Red Sox play-by-play announcer Don Orsillo and current Padres Live Analyst Mark Sweeney will join the booth to cover the other half of FOX Sports San Diego’s Spring Training telecasts.

The San Diego Padres will open their 2016 regular season on Monday, April 4 against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Coverage begins at 3:00 PM PST on FOX Sports San Diego.
