Chargers fans invited to 11 Training Camp Practices

Chargers Open Training Camp on Saturday, July 30

Head Coach Mike McCoy and the 2016 San Diego Chargers will open Training Camp with the first of 11 public practices on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. at Chargers Park, the team announced on Friday.

The Chargers will report for camp on Friday, July 29 and take the field for the first time on Saturday, July 30 from 9:30-11:25 a.m. Two of the highlights of Training Camp include FanFest 2016 presented by Bud Light, on Saturday, Aug. 6 (10:30 a.m.) at Qualcomm Stadium, and a joint practice with the Arizona Cardinals at Qualcomm Stadium on Tuesday night, Aug. 16 (6:00 p.m.). Following is the complete list of Training Camp practices open to the public.

Saturday July 30…… 9:30-11:25 a.m.

Sunday July 31…… 3:00-5:00 p.m.

Monday Aug. 1…… 9:30-11:25 a.m.

Thursday Aug. 4…… 9:30-11:25 a.m.

Friday Aug. 5…… 3:00-5:00 p.m.

Saturday Aug. 6…… 10:30-12:30 p.m. – FanFest 2016 presented by Bud Light at Qualcomm Stadium

Monday Aug. 8…… 3:00-5:00 p.m.

Wednesday Aug. 10….. 3:00-5:00 p.m.

Thursday Aug. 11….. 9:30-11:25 a.m.

Monday Aug. 15….. 3:00-5:00 p.m.

Tuesday Aug. 16….. 6:00-8:00 p.m. – Joint Practice with Arizona at Qualcomm Stadium (Final Public Practice)

Gates to Chargers Park will open one hour before the start of each practice session. During the week, parking is available only on Murphy Canyon Road. For weekend practices, parking is available on Murphy Canyon Road as well as in the Kearny Mesa Business Center, located just south of Chargers Park.

Parking and admission to all Training Camp practices are FREE, including FanFest on Aug. 6 and the joint practice with Arizona on Aug. 16.

The Chargers Team Store will have a mobile location selling all the latest merchandise and apparel, and representatives from the team’s Ticket Office will be on hand with information about all Chargers ticket options, including season tickets. Bleacher seating will be available, however fans are welcome to bring folding chairs to sit on the pavement surrounding the practice fields. Fans can bring their own food, water and soft drinks, however cigarettes and alcoholic beverages are not allowed at Chargers Park at any time. For those wishing to purchase food or beverage, there will be hot and cold food, snacks, bottled water and soft drinks available for purchase.

Fans are welcome to bring personal cameras, however video cameras and telephoto lenses longer than six inches (detachable or non-detachable) are not allowed. Other items not permitted at Chargers Park include: pets (other than service dogs), weapons, chains, stun guns, mace & pepper sprays, water guns, fireworks, frisbees, sports balls, beach balls or other inflatable objects, laser pointers, flammable objects, musical instruments or noise-making devices.
