Players Nominated For Mitre USA National Player of the Week For Week 13
For all of our NPSL Soccer fans… Here are all the National Premier Soccer League Players that have been nominated for the Mitre USA national player of the week for week 13. My fellow NPSL media has until Wednesday night to vote. The winner will be announced on Friday. Once announced we will share. For the first time this season we have seen multiple teams with multiple nominations.
1. Midfielder Pedro Polaz, Atlanta Silverbacks
Polaz scored a goal in Atlanta’s 2-0 win over Georgia Revolution FC.
2. Midfielder Eder Guzman, EBFC Stompers
Guzman finished with a goal and an assist in a 4-3 win over the Sonoma County Sol.
3. Midfielder Franklin Castellanos, New York Cosmos B
Castellanos created multiple scoring chances in Cosmos B’s 4-1 victory over the Rhode Island Reds.
4. Midfielder Philip Persson, FC Buffalo
Persson tallied two assists in Buffalo’s 3-0 win over AFC Cleveland.
5. Forward Sergio Ortiz, North County Battalion
Ortiz finished with a goal and two assists in a 9-1 win over Corinthians USA. He has two goals and three assists so far this season.
6. Midfielder Evan De Ycaza, Tobacco Road FC
The Furman University standout scored a hat trick in a 4-1 win over FC Carolina Discoveries. He has a total of four goals and one assists for the season.
7. Forward Chimdum Mez, Sacramento Gold FC
Mez came off the bench at halftime to score two goals and power Sacramento Gold FC to a 2-1 road win over Real San Jose.
8. Forward Eric Lopez, North County Battalion
Lopez scored a goal in North County’s 2-0 win over SoCal SC. He now has nine goals and one assist on the season.
9. Forward David Luquen, Albion SC Pros
Luquen scored four goals this week, including three goals in 70 minutes against Temecula FC.
10. Forward Matt Clare, Albion SC Pros
Clare tallied four goals and three assists this week, including three goals and two assists against Corinthians USA.
11. Midfielder Orrin Farrell, Dutch Lions FC NPSL
Farrell dominated the midfield in the Dutch Lions’ 4-0 win over Regals SCA.
12. Goalkeeper Victor Scariot, Boston City FC
Scariot made five crucial saves to deny goal-scoring opportunities with the scores at 0-0, 1-0, 2-1, 2-2 and 3-2.
13. Midfielder Jon Rubio Ramon, Michigan Stars FC
The Valencia, Spain native scored the lone goal in Michigan’s 1-1 draw with conference leaders AFC Ann Arbor.
14. Midfielder Isaac “Nana” Addai, Rhode Island Reds
The Liberian playmaker finished with a brace against Boston City FC, bringing his season total to 14 goals and five assists.
15. Midfielder Nick Rich, Fredericksburg FC
Rich registered a total of three goals and two assists from two games this weekend. He has scored a goal in five straight games, bringing his season total to six goals and two assists.
