San Diego Sports Domination is an award-winning sports blog based in San Diego, California. Let me provide little bit of background on San Diego Sports Domination (SDSD for short). I sat down with my team in a meeting room on the campus of San Diego State and we hashed out the idea for San Diego Sports Domination. We created this blog back in 2012 to share our love of sports with the San Diego Community. At the time SDSD was created many of us were all in school. I graduated in December 2014 from the San Diego State Journalism Media Studies Program. We also created SDSD in an attempt to help cover teams that the normal San Diego Media Don’t Care about or don’t have the time to cover. 

Since the website’s creation in 2012, we have been read in over 300 countries around the world. We have won two blogging awards (eCollege Finders Top Collegiate Blog Award and Our City San Diego’s Top 10 Blog Award) and have been linked to newspapers all over the United States. We are the biggest all-inclusive sports blog in San Diego. We have been guests on many radio shows including Xtra Sports 1360, Mighty 1090, ESPN San Diego 1700,  Talk Now San Antonio (ESPN), SB Nation Podcasts and many more. We have also been guests on CBS 8 San Diego to give an SDSU perspective. David Frerker our CEO & Founder will be on NBC 7 SportsWrap (July 10th) with Derek Togerson talking San Diego Sports. 

We currently cover San Diego State University, San Diego Gulls, San Diego Padres, San Diego Chargers, Albion SC Pros, San Diego Breakers (Pro Rugby), Chula Vista Olympic Training Center, Olympic Sports (during Olympic years) and local sporting events. We are working on adding coverage of local San Diego High School Sports to the website. The only people who cover more sports than us … San Diego News Media. We have worked with many major brands across the country to cover events in San Diego. We have worked with Bellator MMA, Dove Just For Men, Petco, America’s Best Racing, Delaware North Sportservice, Staples and AT&T to name a few. We have worked alongside the following San Diego Teams; San Diego Flash, San Diego Surf, Oceanside A Team, Albion Pros SC, Olympic Training Center Chula Vista, PRO Rugby San Diego and San Diego Chargers. We have official media sponsorship’s with San Diego Surf (ABA)/ Oceanside A-Team (ABA), Albion SC Pros (National Premier Soccer League) Soccer team and San Diego Pro Rugby. We are also media members of the NPSL. 

During the summer many people ask what sports are you currently covering? The answer is local NPSL (NPSL is the lowest level of soccer in the MLS pyramid), San Diego Breakers, San Diego Padres, San Diego Chargers Training Camps and 2016 Olympic Rio Games. The local NPSL team and Pro Rugby seasons are winding down over the next few weeks. We host one of the best Padres podcasts in San Diego. Our guys interview professional media, Padres Staffers and Padres Farm Team Staffers to get you the best information as possible. The Friar Domination Podcast can be found on Itunes and Google Music. We are starting to plan out our San Diego Chargers and San Diego State Football podcasts. We are also starting to install a weekly sports recap show.
