Breaking Down Albion SC Pros 2017 Schedule

Albion SC Pros returns to play in 2017 with a target on it’s back. The Pros finished their inaugural season in 2016 with one of the best records in the National Premier Soccer League at 16-1-4. The Pros will be returning as San Diego’s only NPSL team in 2017 with the departure of the North County Battalion into the PDL. Some of the returning players for Albion are Jean Antoine, Felipe Liborio and Luke Staats, Oscar Ortega, Lester “Tre” Hayes, Douglas Andrade, José Merlo, David Luquen and Ricky Mckenzie. Of course highlighted by Captian Luke Staats (1st team All-NPSL) who has lead his team (San Diego Flash & Albion SC Pros) to back-to-back NPSL Southwest Conference Championships and Jean Antoine our pick for NPSL Goal Keeper of the year last season (honorable mention for the All-NPSL Team).

We have a few changes in the scheduling for the 2017 season. Four teams have joined the NPSL Southwest Conference in 2017. Three of the four teams are from California and one team comes from Arizona. Thus tying the Southwest Conference as the third largest conference in the NPSL.

  • Arizona FC (Playing out of Mesa, Arizona)
  • Oxnard (Playing out of Oxnard, California)
  • Orange County FC (Playing out of Orange County, California)
  • City Of Angels FC (Playing out of Los Angles, California)

Below is the entire 2017 schedule for the Pros. Please know that this schedule can grow. Currently on the schedule are 18 games of which 16 are conference matches. Last season the Pros played 21 games (counting post season). During the season the Pros did not like to take bye weeks and added in a few out of conference games to keep the players hot. According to the Pros they have the option to schedule four more games during the season. Those four games breakdown into US Open Cup and Playoff games.
