FOX SPORTS SAN DIEGO ANNOUNCES PADRES 2017 TELEVISION SCHEDULE AND BROADCAST TEAM
FSSD will produce 159 Regular Season Games,
Scanlan will assume the 2017 sideline reporter role and Gwynn Jr. to serve as fill-in pre/post analyst
San Diego – FOX Sports San Diego (FSSD) and the San Diego Padres today announced a 159-game television schedule* for the 2017 season. Each regular season game on FSSD will be accompanied by Padres Live pregame and/or postgame shows and will be available as well on FOX Sports GO via mobile, tablet and connected devices. In addition, all Padres home games produced by FOX Sports San Diego will air live in Spanish on FOX Deportes San Diego.
*The remaining three San Diego Padres games will be elevated nationally on the FOX broadcast network and FS1 (listed below).Schedule subject to change.

FOX Sports San Diego’s Emmy award-winning Padres game coverage begins Friday, April 3 with the season opener against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Live coverage begins at 12:00 PM PST with an hour long Padres Live pregame show leading into the game. Opening Day concludes with a half-hour Padres Live postgame show.
New this season, Bob Scanlan will join FOX Sports San Diego’s distinguished team of broadcast talent as Sideline Reporter for 2017. In addition, Tony Gwynn Jr. is set to serve as a fill-in analyst during FOX Sports San Diego’s pre and postgame show, Padres Live, at various times throughout the season.

Tony is sure to provide his perspective and unique style, and we look forward to seeing his broadcast career develop.”
Scanlan and Gwynn Jr. will be joining FOX Sports San Diego’s veteran team of on-air talent, which includes current color analyst andformer Padres starting pitcher Mark Grant, former Red Sox play-by-play announcer and Padres broadcaster Don Orsillo, Padres Live host, Mike Pomeranz, pre and postgame analyst Mark Sweeney as well as fill-in sideline reporter and Padres POV host, Michelle Margaux. Also returning this season, former Padres players Steve Finley and Clay Hensley will fill-in as analysts for Padres Live pre and postgame shows.
In addition to telecast coverage, all Padres games produced by the regional sports network will also be available on FOX Sports GO. The FOX Sports GO app is currently available for iOS, Apple TV, Android, Android TV, Fire tablets and Fire phones, Roku players and Roku TV, select Windows devices, and online at FOXSportsGO.com. A special one-hour Padres Season Preview show will debut at 6:00 PM PST on Monday, March 20th prior to San Diego Padres vs Texas Rangers and again following the game at 10:00 PM PST.

FOX Sports San Diego will produce all home games in Spanish, minus the game elevates on FS1. Returning to the booth for FOX Deportes San Diego will be long-time Spanish-language voice of the Padres Eduardo Ortega and former Padres catcher Carlos Hernandez.Spanish telecasts will be available on FOX Deportes San Diego throughout San Diego on Cox and Time Warner Cable. Games will also be available in Las Vegas on Cox.
