The 3rd quarter was not as entertaining as the first 2, but it was still owned by San Diego. The first half of the quarter was scoreless and also really chippy between players. The scoreless streak ended when Kraig Chiles picked up his 5th assist of the game as he found Hiram Ruiz who delivered a strike to the back of the net. Sockers led 10-2 with 7:27 left in the 3rd. After 4 assists, Chiles finally got a goal with help from Brian Farber for a 11-2 Sockers lead at the end of the 3rd.

The 4th started like the 1st with Rio Grande scoring first but just like the 1st, the Sockers would win the quarter.
