San Diego Sports Domination had the privilege of sending three photographers to the 1st ever Major League Rugby Championship game held in San Diego (University of San Diego) this past Saturday. The game featured the No. 1 seed Glendale Raptors vs. the No. 2 seed Seattle Seawolves. The Seawolves defeated our San Diego Legion the prior week to make it into the Championship game.
The atmosphere at the University of San Diego was electric pregame. We arrived 40 minutes before gates opened to obtain our media credentials. Tons of people tailgating in the parking lots and lines started to form shortly after. The San Diego Legion offered it’s fans an autograph session before the game. They also gave out free swag ranging from team posters, cups, stickers and other Legion gear.
