Seals look for Mile High Redemption
This week the San Diego Seals travel to Denver Colorado for a matchup vs the Colorado Mammoth. Both teams are hungry, and although the Mammoth Historically have not matched up well against the Seals winning only 1 out of 5 games, don’t count the Mammoth’s out.
This is the NLL, where any given night ANY team has a chance to win. This is the Home opener in Colorado, and Blackout Jersey night, and the first game back in Denver in 600 days. That’s a lot of pressure, and a lot of Distractions for the Mammoth.
The Seals had a lot of firsts in the SEASON opener last week vs the Warriors, many of the boys had first goals, first games, first looseball, first time in front of fans. And now that those are all out of the way the Seals can “trust the process” as Head Coach Patrick Merrell has been heard saying over and over in practices and interviews. The Seals are on the road, without their fans, without the pressure of a home game, without distractions, they can focus on WINNING. We will find out tomorrow night if the Splash Diego Seals can bring the pain to the Mammoth.
How dangerous are the Mammoth? They put up 16 points this year in their only game against a depleted Georgia Swarm that was left Stingerless after losing key players. But that’s 9 more Goals than the Seals did against the Warriors.
Game time is 530 pm Pacific Time, and you can watch the game on ESPN, or ESPN+.
